We are deeply saddened with the destruction Irma has caused in the north eastern part of the Caribbean. Hurricane Irma leaves behind scenes of utter devastation after it has unleashed its fury on the islands it passed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected on the islands, particularly where we have (representative) offices, business acquaintances, clients and friends; Anguilla, St. Maarten and the British Virgin Islands.
We will continue servicing our clients from our Curaçao office, but will be limited in offering official documentation until those authorities are up and running again.
Until now it is evident that all the islands hit by the hurricane are mostly immobilized and some are preparing for the next hurricane on their path this weekend, Hurricane Jose. Basic needs, getting communication up and running and thus just basic survival are of the essence now.

HBM has contributed In the mean time with financial donations to the local Red Cross and encourage all to do the same. The Red Cross will help to provide shelter, food, comfort and emergency support for individuals and families that have been impacted by Irma. They will assist in getting people back on their feet in the challenging days, weeks and months ahead. They work closely with other organizations, so your donation will not go in vain!
